Xat's 6th EPIC Power: 'REDCARD' (Released - ID 339) [PRICE: 5,000 xats]

Hello.

Some controversy with xat's latest power that was released this weekend - and they have decided to introduce another NEW EPIC POWER. This power is called REDCARD.

This power, just like Statuscolor, costs 5,000 xats in stores.

The power on TRADE currently costs between 4950 - 5050 xats due to not many people selling. The price is expected to drop rapidly within the next few weeks, as demand will eventually become low. (Like with the GBACK Power which released in 2012)

Okay guys, I apologise for the wait, but here it is, my first and official review on the newest powers created by our creative *not sarcasm* and amazing xat Staff!

Power Name: Redcard
Status: NOT LIMITED. EPIC power.
Cost in stores: 5,000 xats
Cost in Trade: 4950 - 4980 xats.
Function: If you 'redcard' a user, the moment they talk on main chat they will get banned. They are allowed to talk in Private Chat and Private Message.    

Right, an introduction. This is officially our 6th EPIC power brought for us onto xat. This is also the joint cheapest Epic Power, (as well as STATUSCOLOR) costing 5000 xats. Unlike Gold and like the rest of the Epic Powers, this is UNLIMITED.

Function
Many users would remember the release of the YELLOWCARD power, which worked like (dunce). Many users also joked about xat releasing a "predictable" Redcard power. However, this was an anti-joke, as it was proved that the obvious would occur - the release of its other half.

The Function is completely different, though and more strict. If a user is 'red-carded', they will have a red card shown next to their respective Pawn, as with Yellowcard. However, this indicates a warning that if the user decides to speak on Main Chat then they will automatically be banned for (x) amount of hours.

There are already many questions asked about this ...

• Wouldn't the staff member decide to Ban them straight away instead?
• Doesn't this power work like (GAG) but banning them instead?
• This could indicate more trolls to come?

It seems that this power is more of an enjoyable 'banter' between fellow users instead of rear punishment.

Price:
The price costs 5000 xats, the joint cheapest Epic Power as well as (Statuscolor). However, logic does not stand. Many users also stated this.
"How come REDCARD is an epic power costing 5000 xats, while we have Boot costing 8000 - 9000 xats and Angel costing 15500 - 16000 xats, and neither of them are epic powers."
Although that is a very good point, the best Admins can do with (angel) and (boot) are re-release them in an appropriate manner. Remember guys, only in 2014 did BOOT cost a world-breaking 35,000 xats on the Trade Market!

Although this does not seem like a good price, back in 2009-2010 5,000 xats was very difficult to achieve, I would remember from experience! Many users now have an average of 100k+ xats, so the economy is more improved. This was most likely the Admins perception of how things should be - hoping this will improve the market as a few users report the xat.com/Trade room being 'dead'.


Conclusion:
I will give a brief summary of: HIT or MISS.
HIT - Meaning it was a success.
MISS - Did not appeal to the market, etc. 

Power Smiley
Realistically it was meant to look similar to the (yellowcard) power, which it did. We weren't expecting a grammy-award winning smiley for this, surely?!

Power Function
A user would most likely want to Ban the user straight away in the case of any drama happening. Gag also seems to be similar to this power, and 5000 xats is way too expensive when you can buy (Gag) for 700 xats.
MISS

Price
Like said above, although this is xats cheapest Epic Power, it costs far too much for what it is supposed to do. Luckily many users can now afford this power, prior to a few years ago. MISS

Demand
Most users would like a Power which suits beneficial to them. This power is only mainly necessary for those needing (EVERYPOWER). 

The good news is because of this new power, EVERYPOWER has increased in price to become 260,000 - 263,000 xats. Demand over-all is low, but because it has caused a balance to the market, this has been a success.
HIT

Over-all
A few positives, but unfortunately the majority are negatives. This power just seems too expensive for its function, and would be better if it weren't an epic power.
FINAL VERDICT - MISS.

Xat ID 338: 'GOTHIC' Power! (RELEASED - 240 xats)

Hello.

At around **9.30pm BST** the new power, GOTHIC was released in the stores!

 320 released costing 240 xats. LIMITED!

Indeed, this is another limited power, and once again makes decent profit for those who like earning some xats. The price on TRADE had reached 450 - 500 xats after the first release.

Update - COUNTDOWN!
We are able to confirm that 300 - 400 GOTHIC powers release around every 2 hours. The price is 240 xats, 1 per user.

4pm (Sunday) - There has currently been around 9 - 10 releases, meaning there is so far a rough total of 3000 - 3700. The price at this time is currently 260 - 280 xats so there is still some profit out there!

So, what does this power do? Well, it's another smiley power, but this one was not suggested by Juniour who as many of you may be aware he is now xats newest smiley maker, so congratulations once again to him!

There we are! What do you think of this new power? I think this would have been better if it was released closer to Halloween, but oh well!


ALSO ...
At around **9.45pm BST** 42 decided to release the GOLD power into PAUCTION. The Auction was only 2 hours long and the price started at 50,000 xats. The Auction will finish at **11.20pm BST**.

The price before was very expensive, being 55,600 - 55,800 xats. Because of this, 20 were released.

- THE FINAL PRICE WAS 53,460 XATS WITH A TOTAL OF 15 BIDS  . THE PRICE IS NOW CURRENTLY 55,500 - 55,700 XATS.

Xat ID 337: 'ALIBLUE' Power! (SOLD OUT - 250 xats)

Hello.

The newest power, ID 337 is known as ALIBLUE. Unlike previous smileys, this power had been suggested by a user named Juniour (goes on xat5) and it was released as an actual smiley! He has also been promoted to become xat's newest official smiley maker, so a huge Congratulations from me!

This power, just like SHINOBI, releases in very small quantities every couple of hours. However, around 300 - 400 were released every 2 - 3 hours.
  

The price is 250 xats. LIMITED!

After the first release, the price had increased to become 350 - 450 xats. However after the releases the price dropped, eventually becoming 250 - 280 xats.

Update - SOLD OUT!
The price was 280 - 320 xats after it was sold out, but as the rarity and investors have been increasing, so has the price.

(1 WEEK LATER) - The price has increased and the power is currently quite expensive. The price is at the moment 600 - 700 xats . There is a total of around 4,000 - 4,500 .


We'll post you the smilies within the next couple of days. There is now no longer pawns which come with this power ...

NEW Xat Power, 'SHINOBI' - ID 336 (RELEASED: 300 xats)

Hello.

After being available as a test power for more than a week, it has finally been confirmed as this weekends power - it will be called Shinobi.

This power is LIMITED and it is expected to be released later today:

 


This will be a Chinese themed power consisting of ninja smileys . Here are the following smileys, along with the codes:

The power also comes with a few pawns for a LIMITED time only, they will be posted soon or you can check the xat Power Wiki page!


So, there we go! We are currently not sure what the cost of this power will be, when it will be released, or the quantity. 
Update: At around **6.00pm BST** , the new power was in stores, but was not yet released. A few minutes later, an official countdow was published, the power is releasing in 1 hour.

Update 2: RELEASED.
At around **7.00pm BST** the new power, 'SHINOBI' was released in the Stores.

339 released costing 300 xats . LIMITED!

Because of the small quantity which was released and the peak time of xat, the price increased rapidly from 400 - 450 xats to become 650 - 800 xats.

Why is the price so high? As well as mentioned above, another reason is that THE NEXT RELEASE IS IN 12 HOURS (7.00am BST Sunday) so you will have no choice but to wait a while if you wish to purchase it in stores...

Update 3: There has been 2 more releases of around 330 - 380 on each release. There is currently a total of around 1000 - 1300 on xat with over 24 hours gone. This is the lowest quantity we've had for a power at this time for a very long while.

We can confirm to you that the SHINOBI power releases every 10 - 11 hours. There is also roughly around 300 - 400 per release. 


The price on TRADE (Sunday) has dropped slightly, but is still expensive. It is currently going for 500 - 600 xats.

    
FINAL UPDATES:

There has been 2 - 3 releases per day. 300 - 400 were in stores for each release, all costing 300 xats. It eventually became 2 PER USER on the later stages of the release, with the price dropping around 30-50 xats on TRADE after each release.

The power is now Sold Out (around Friday 7pm BST) with the price currently being around 300 - 350 xats.

Therefore, if you were able to catch every release (no offence, you would be sad if you had xD) then you should have roughly profited around 2,500 - 4,000 xats maybe a little more. Either way, there was not a single release where a user had lost profit!

In total, there was a rough estimate of around 5,000 - 5,500 released.

   

I personally think this power has some good smileys, which we haven't seen in quite a while! (no offence).
